Terms and Conditions

We protect the integrity of each player, parent, or coach who uses our programs. Terms and Conditions apply to any training program offered by Coach Enzo. By scheduling any session, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions on this webpage.

Player Expectations:

  • I agree to be a positive player who is coachable

  • I agree to bring my journal to EVERY session to document my progress

  • I agree to work hard in every session, I’m here to develop and reach my goals as a player

  • I agree to be accountable to Coach Enzo's program and not make excuses

  • I agree to bring a full water jug and proper attire to each session (practice jersey)

  • I agree to fill out my monthly and quarterly reports (so I can track my progress as a player)

  • I agree to put in the work needed to become a better player. My results are my responsibility.

  • I agree to fill out my weekly “game evaluations” so Coach Enzo and I have a deep understanding of my performances throughout the season

Parent Expectations:

  • I agree to bring my child to our scheduled weekly session 15 minutes early to warm up and stretch

  • I agree that during my child's practices and games, I will support them but NOT coach them.

Rainout Policy:

If the fields are too wet or if there is significant rain during the morning or evening of our scheduled session, the session may be moved or rescheduled upon Coach Enzo's decision. Coach Enzo will check to ensure the field is safe before every session.

Weather-related changes will be communicated by 2:00 PM the day of the session.

1. If the Strawberry Creek Court playing area is deemed not playable the training will be moved to Richmond MLK Turf Field (1221 Virginia Street, Richmond, CA). Turf Fields were created for playing in rainy weather conditions so they will not risk of being closed by the city.

OR

2. Video practice online through a link sent. The video session will start at 6:00 p.m.

Coaching Philosophy:

My priority is to ensure that players develop and grow their technical skills and understanding of the game, individually and collectively. Winning is important: it is motivating and brings a morale boost to the group. However, it is not our primary emphasis.

PLAYING STYLE – Players will be taught an attacking-minded style of play. This style will rely on hard work, good technical ability, bravery, physical fitness, and each player’s creativity.

PLAYING TIME – This is a competitive program for serious players. Playing time will not be equal for every player and will vary from game to game, depending on attendance, performance, effort, and attitude at practices and games.

POSITIONS – Positions will be rotated, but not always, from game to game. Regardless of the game position assigned, the selected player will be expected to do their best and show respect towards their teammates and their coach.

Anyone can be selected to contribute to the goalkeeper position if our designated goalkeeper is unavailable. Parents are expected to support the coach’s decision. A goalkeeper should have the ability to be an asset with their feet in the game.

Attendance:
Players are expected to participate in every team event (practices, games, scrimmages, bonding events, etc.). Please mark availability in the app. Communicating an absence is required and should be done as early as possible, so the coach can appropriately adjust session plans for practices and reach out to guest players for games.

If a player is late to the session they will forfeit that practice time. There will be no make-up session or "session rollover" into the following term/ year.

Behavior Protocol:

If behavior issues arise during any one practice or game, my policy is:

1st Offense: Talk to the player

2nd Offense: sit the player out for a few minutes
3rd Offense: contact the parent

No Conflict commitment:

Players selected for the Elite Teams Program and who have accepted their spot on the roster, commit to prioritize the Playmaker Lab Futsal team's events over any other futsal events (except for the National Team). Players are not allowed to play on other futsal teams in the same competition as Playmaker Lab's teams.

Game Day:

Players are expected to show up 45 minutes prior to game time; team warm-ups will begin at that time. Availability should be updated no later than Wednesday evening for weekend games. Please do not use the “maybe” option as that is not helpful in figuring out numbers. After every game (unless I have to quickly run to another game), I will be holding a post-game talk with the players. This post-game talk is for players and coaches only. Players are welcome to share the post-game talk content with parents/guardians afterward.

Playing Area:

Only players and coaches are allowed in the playing area at any time. No walking across the field/court during or after the event. View practices away from players’ personal items and coaches’ equipment area. View games from the sideline opposite to team bench. Standing next to or behind goals is not permitted.
